Astronomers using ESO's Very Large Telescope have for the first time directly observed granulation patterns on the surface of a star outside the Solar System — the ageing red giant π1 Gruis. This remarkable new image from the PIONIER instrument reveals the convective cells that make up the surface of this huge star, which has 350 times the diameter of the Sun. Each cell covers more than a quarter of the star's diameter and measures about 120 million kilometres across. These new results are being published this week in the journal Nature.

  1. The UP Board has reduced the Class 10 Syllabus for the academic year 2021-22 by 30% due to COVID-19 outbreak. Students must be well aware of the syllabus reduction for UP Board Class 10. They must go through the UP Board Class 10 Syllabus carefully and chalk out a well planned time table and study accordingly. UP 10th Syllabus pdf Maharashtra Board releases the MAHASSC syllabus 2021-22 for English, Students must also ensure that they complete the entire syllabus for UP Board Class 10 well in time and leave ample time for revision. UP Class 10 Exam Pattern would also provide the students with the marks allotted to each section and the type of questions that are asked in the examination. It would help the students in their preparation by taking into consideration the important topics based on the weightage.
